Ran to South Haven this afternoon with my father in Law and a buddy. Sat down in 50 fow straight out and did a few circles after loosing a nice steelie while setting rods. We picked here and there and after a few hours we only had a couple in the box. We headed for deeper water and found some bait with hooks in 100-105 fow. We made a couple circles and started popping fish. We stayed there all afternoon and finished 14 for 21 with 9 steelies up to 10#, 4 kings all about 5# and one 14# laker. Northport Nailer #65 Orange Tiger Roughy RULED the day taking 11 hits. Core from 4-11 color was strong, magnum divers 85-115 on 1.5 settingg and high diver 80 back on 3 setting. One rigger with magnum flahser with Atomic Green Glow Horse Fly ticking bottom took two. High rigger from 50-80 took 3 fish today on blue/ Green dolphin prototypes (3-4). Other spoons to take fish were #48 Glow easter Egg (2), Octoberfeast NEW (1), double lemon drop (2). There was tons of bait with hooks in it. We tried 3 different J plugs around the spread and 3 different flahser flies before settling on the one that caught two fish. Tried lots of other lures, but they wanted orange, especially from 730-845 when we had a flurry to finish up the day.
