Had an afternoon trip today. After all the wind all week, the water has flipped near shore. I tried the pierheads for an hour with nothing and pulled lines and ran deep. On the way, we found a 5 degree temp break and turned around to fish it. after nothing, we pointed west and set the full implement of rods. We pulled a laker in 145, another in 193, made it to 245 turned pulled another laker in 190 and missed a rip at 185. Trolled alll the way in to 110, back out on a Nw and pulled a triple in 160. The triple fish were all steelhead and we got 2 into the boat, lost the other after it tangled with another line. Then pointed it shorebound as the sun set and were dragging a laker on a rigger when we pulled lines. So we landed 4 lakers and two steelies, lost a laker behind the baot 30' and missed a rip. The lakers all went back obviously. Northport Nailers in oranges like Orange Ice and a gold version took fish on 3 colors of lead, tangerrine went on the 8 color, mashed bannanna went on the 5 color and seaweed went twice behind the 8" green e chip and mirage went once behind white/ green 8" e chip on the high diver.
