Fishing continues to be good to great in Muskegon.  Friday's trip

was re-booked due to high seas, but Saturday and Sunday dawned calm and sunny.  Saturday fishing was fantastic.  With a crew of 3 plus myself, we had 9 big kings in the boat by 730 am.  Fishing slowed a bit after that, but with such great weather, who cares!  By noon we had boated 3 more kings, releasing the last little one.  Another hour and one more pass, and we had 3 more big kings.  One went in the cooler and the last two of the triple header went back in the lake.  We finished the day 15 for 20 releasing 3, all kings.

Sunday cam and with confidence soaring, we met tougher conditions.  The same great weather greated us, but the fish wouldnt cooperate in close to shore.  10 am found us 1 for 3, so we headed west to look for different fish, and we found them!  once we passed 120 feet of water, things lit up and in the next couple hours we put 8 fish in the boat and lost a couple more.  We finished the day 9 for 12 with a great mixed bag taking 4 of the 5 common species, only missing out on a brown trout.  Two nice steelhead, one laker trout, two coho and the rest kings up to 15#.

Word I have from Monday morning was the inside bite was hot again.  I will be out on Tuesday.  more reports to follow.
