August 13, 2006 The largest fish of the season came in mid August again this year. The two largest fish and one that got away were all taken within two days. Although the average for the season was up compared to last year. We caught lots of good fish in late august, but the official spawning run was a bit early with the weather this year. Early September is usually primetime, but things were slow for various reasons. Mid September we headed back offshore and got into good numbers again. Great numbers continued on younger fish offshore through October when weather permitted trips. Plan for next season and reserve a date now!
