Another slow day to report unfortunately. Got out good and early on Sunday with a crew of 4. Slowed down in Muskegon lake to check out the sand docks, but wasn't marking much there, so I headed out in the lake. Sat down just north on a pile of fish. set lines, but no action. Just as sunrise was happening we took a nice king on a Northport Bloody clown spoon, then a couple more hours of dodging boats and no fish. Radio chatter indicated some fish biting in 120-170, so we picked up lines and ran out and sat down in 120 on a west troll. A couple hours later, we had taken 3 fish, but one was an undersized laker that was released unharmed. We finished 100% on bites at 4 for 4, but only managing 4 bites was a bit discouraging. We even stuck it out an extra 2 hours as I didnt have an afternoon trip. Most boats we talked too had similar luck as us. I did see a couple fish hooked up while we were in the 120-140 fow range. Saw zero hookups in front, although there was a pile of fish in there on the graph. Maybe with the continued east winds, things will light up inside? At the cleaning table, two guys had a couple nice boxes of fish and they had both run north 8 miles or so and fished the 100-130 fow range. Maybe we were late to the party getting out deeper. Our fish in the deeper water came on inside divers for two of them. back 150 with a Keylime northport with a special white back took the laker, and a white spin doctor with slick glow tape trailed by a white and glow fly took a king back 170 on 1 setting. The other king took a Northport blueberry glow spoon 75 down. I also had 13,15,18,21 colors of lead out there with no luck. Those should have been firing as the fish seemed to be in that 70-90 range down.
