Well, Not much to report here today. Unfortunately we were only 1 for 5 today. All bites between 7 and 9 am, but we fished until 330pm. I kept the guys on the lake longer looking for fish, but couldnt find them. Only thing I can think is the bright full moon and clear skies kept the fish feeding all night they didnt want anything come morning. All bites were in the fog and close to port. Fished 17-60 fow, in and out of the muddy water. Alll bites were in clear water. Hits came on Roughy northport on high diver, Wonderbread Coyote with Seaweed Horsefly on other high diver, Pearl #5 j-plug on rigger back 60', anotther hit on the wonderbread/ seaweed combo, and Octoberfeast northport with white back on rigger back 50'. The only fish that made it to the boat was on the fly. First 3 bites in 15 minutes at 7 am and then an hour for each of the other bites last one being 8:47 am. Then the fog broke and no more hits. Only saw one other fish hooked up all morning. At 1030 we ran offshore for blue water looking for a mid to late morning bite on younger silver fish. trolled 150fow out to 300 and back to 220 with no bitesl, although fish were there in the 40 to 100 down range. Ran back in and set lines in the channel and trolled through Muskegon lake to the cement marker with no bites. Just one of those days I guess.
