Left the dock at 6 am with a great group of customers on board. It was a family affair with 3 generations. Headed south towards where we fished the afternoon before and set lines. Some extra boat traffic made navigating a bit tricky until we cleared the pack on a south troll. again we bounced in and out, on and off the shelf. Today we found fish in the 90-120 range, just outside where they were the day before. The winds had shifted east over night, so likely pushed the fish out a tad. Again we found fish deep, but also found a few in the upper water column as well. Deep divers and riggers near the bottom. As the sun rose, the fish dove. Early on we had action on 9 colors of lead and high divers and riggers in the 40-55 range. As the sun peaked over the tree tops, fish were caught on riggers 90-110 down and divers back 185-225. Core kept going as well, but the 18 color ruled the late day. Blueberry glow ruled the color choice with 5 rips. Pretty much anything else with blue and green took fish as well. Only one fish on orange today. After landing 9 of 14 fish in the morning, and tossing a smaller lake trout back to swim another day, the crew hefted 8 fish to the scales that totalled 95#. A great catch by anyone's standards.
