Muskegon 7/14 PDF
Headed back to Muskegon early in the morning with two buddies and hammered away at them again.  All spoons again with the exception of one hit on a flasher/ fly that we missed.  We fished straight out and slightly to the north.  Fish were caught in 65-90 fow anywhwere from 22-65 down.  No real pattern.  Early on the sun was poking through and lemonfire glow had several hits.  Glow tiger roughy had a couple hits in the dark including taking a nice steelie.  The hot bait was the blue/green dolphin prototype taking at least 6 hits on the inside diver.  Speaking of divers, they had by far the most hits.  I had a nine rod spread with 4 core, two rigger rods with sliders and 3 divers.  6,9,11 colors of lead all produced, but not as well as Thursday.  Diver setbacks were 55 for the starboard high diver and 66,77, 95 and 105 for the low starboard diver.  As the day got brighter, I just kept working it back.  The port diver was dead except for one hit 104 back on 3 setting.  We finished the day landing 11 fish being 8 kings from 2-12#, 2 lakers at 3 and 8# and one steelie about 7#. We had about 20 bites and hooks straighten a couple and a swivel broke by a 15# brute right on the back of the boat.  Lots of Action until about 7 am when things slow considerably, but when boat traffic cleared we made another shallow pass at 65 fow and took another 5-6 hits in about half hour until it was time to head in for prior commitments.  Fishing is hot to say the least.
