Made it on the big lake for the first time in 2010 today.  I jumped on with a buddy in GH trying for some steelhead and brown trout action.  Reports have been good, up through mid week, but never fail, something turned and the fish did not cooperate yesterday.  We gave it about 3 hours right in front with no luck.  We tried in and out of the river mud.  Temps were about 42 in the mud and ranged from 37-40 outside the mud.  We never got real tight to the shore.  One other boat reported a couple fish.  Several other boats reported nothing. 

I am shooting to have SALMONHEAD in the water in South Haven the first week of April.  Things are shaping up to have a great spring fishery early this year.  Hopefully we don't get the strong north winds like a couple years ago.
