2009 Shakedown lake trout and salmon fishing in South Haven

After doing some preventative maintanence and having a few delays, we finally got SALMONHEAD wet for the season.  Between rainstorms, I got the boat in South Haven and ran her through the paces.  After determining things were a go, we did a little fishing.  Water temps are warm, in the low 50's, and we found a few fish on the feed.  Three lake trout went back, and we boxed a nice king in the 15# range and a chunky 3-4# coho.  Finishing 5 for 5 in a few hours.  Nailer spoon in #35 Superior Sunset took two lakers and the king and Fireworks fly behind a dodger took the coho.  The other laker took an an orange body bait.  We tried 20-50 fow and found the fish in the 25-30 range.
