Made it out today with 4 more bodies on board. Action was never fast and furious, but we picked away at them. Finishing 17 for 21 it made for a pretty nice day. The big news is we caught KINGS today!
We finished with 8 kings in the 10# range. biggest about 12, smallest about 8. Finishing out the box were 7 coho and tossed back 2 lakers again. Water temps ranged from 46 to 50.8 and depths were 40-50 fow. We had a wide array of colors that worked today with the ever changing conditions. Northport nailers took most bites again with only 3 body bait bites and two fly bites. We had the following bites on Nailers, Lemonfire glow (76) 1, Bloody clown (86) 1, Mashed bannana (11) 2, Orange Ice (41) 2, Mixed Veggies (47) 4, Blueberry Muffin (45) 3. I also had some a couple different prototypes take 3 bites. the brads took 2 bites, Reef Runner took 1 bites and Fireworks HorseFly took 2 bites. Fish came from flatlines to the bottom and everywhere in between. No ryme or reason today other than maybe chartruese. As an update, I continue to be thoroughly impressed with the Slide Diver Light Bite that is new to the market this year. Even the little twinkie coho release the diver. |
