Salmonhead was in Ludington this Memorial Day weekend to kick back and relax.  The wife and I proceded to fish on Saturday as the lake was mirror flat.  We managed 5 fish and had 7 bites over the course of the late morning and afternoon.  Fishing was a bit slow, but the beatiful day more than made up for it.  We headed southwest from port and did a lot of trolling for the few bites.  We sat down in 160 feet of water and finished in over 430 feet.  bites were in pockets with action coming in small areas.  Northport Nailer spoons in Sour Apple, Belding Bait and a couple prototypes accounted for our action.

We had a couple birds visit the boat more than 12 miles offshore as they must have been lost in the fog. 

The remainder of the weekend was spent sleeping in and lounging around.  A great weekend it was indeed.  Doctors tell my wife and I that we are withing 2 weeks of being parents instead of the supposed 4.  Times will be changing very soon!
