I hopped aboard the Bookem Danno boat in Grand Haven as first mate.   We had a good morning, actually bette than expected.  Fish were holding in the small hole south of the piers.  Basically the entire charter fleet plus some recreational boats were all hammering the same water.  Tight circles ruled the roost.  We had out a spread of 3 riggers, two divers and eventually added a half and full core to the mix.  by far the best rig was a big white paddle with a white fly trailing it near the bottom.  One rig on the chute rigger and the other on a low diver accounted the 75% of our bites.  Pearl tomic took a bite or two, double glow plug took another few bites.  Northport Nailer glow roughy took two early on in the really low light.  We finished with 8 or 9 fish in the box including one coho, but had on at least 15 and maybe more fish. 

Today a big south blow is upon us.  Tommorow morning will be interesting.  The fish are ready to go, they just need the right water temps to do it.
