Fishing remains good PDF
Fishing this week has remained good along the eastern shore of Lake Michigan.  Monday evening found me in Port Sheldon with Grayson of the Outdoorsmen for some evening fishing.  We landed 3 of 5 in a couple hours and were chased off the lake by thunder rumbling in the distance.  Thursday morning found me as first mate for Bookem Danno charters in Grand Haven and we had a fabulous morning.  With only two customers aboard, we had our 6 king salmon in shortly over an hour.  Add to that one bonus fish while we were pulling lines, there was a lot of action in a short time.  Thursday evening found me back in Port Sheldon for league night.  Grayson and I piled aboard with Mike Harvey and tested our luck.  We took a gamble and stayed close trying to catch larger fish.  We managed 3 good fish and took 4th for the night and also landed the largest fish of all the competitors that evening at over 16#.  Friday found me back aboard the Salmonhead in Muskegon with a crew of 5 on board.  Fishing slowed a bit, but we picked away at the fish and landed 8 to make for a nice cooler of fillets.  Three fish over 12# with coho and steelhead mixed in with the rest of the catch.  Friday afternoon I was first mate for Vince aboard the Saint with a crew of 4.  Fishing continued to be steady but slower than last week and we put 7 fish in the cooler again for a great pile of fillets.  We had the mixed bag with lake trout, steelhead, coho and kings.
