Last night was the first league night of the 2007 season. 14 boats decended upon Port Sheldon to test their luck. I hopped aboard the Outdoorsmen again this year with Grayson and new this year, Mike Harvey. We ran out to 170 or so and set our 8 lines. While setting we had a brief hookup with something on the 5 color, but it got itself free. We pecked away for a while and ended up with 4 kings and 2 lakers for the weigh in. Unfortunately, our fish were on the small side and we finished 4th even though we were the only boat to weigh 6 fish. Weight is the only factor, as no points are given for quantity. Congratulations to the winning teams this week. Our fish came on a variety of baits. Both lakers came 165 down on the rigger. One on SeaMist HorseFly and the other on the blueberry glow (19 slider. Tiger perch (64) took a fish on the diver set back 83' on a 2 setting. Mike's rigs took the remainder of the fish and were on doctored up Stinger spoons.
