Had a crew of 5 on board today with me so we had a 17 rod spread out. We had basically a north and south troll going so we could go with and into the waves. We started out picking away at fish shortly after sitting down and while we were setting lines. Fishing continued to be good throughout the morning andright into early afternoon. We finished the day at about 1:30 with 23 in the box and lost 3. Mashed Banana Northport Nailer was the hot ticket with 9 bites, Mahsed Mahi had two bites and Mashed Banana glow had one bite. Sea Mist fly took 3 rips and Fireworks had two rips. The rest of the bites were a smattering of Lemon Ice, Lemon fire glow, blue/green dolphin, Mixed veggie, Glow roughy, Tiger perch, Blue Mahi and blueberry glow. Short leadcore was most dominate, mostly because mashed bannana was on there, but all rods took bites. The wind kicked up a bit and stirred the waves to a 2-4' chop, but the sun helped to keep the air warm. In the end, 9 steelies, 1 laker, 7 kings and 6 coho made it to the cleaning table. It was a great day to be on the water, and only one other boat out there that we saw!
