Went back to South Haven today with high hopes the favorable wind and warm weather would trigger the kings to show up. No such luck there. With 4 licences on board I was able to run a full 12 rod spread with sliders on 4 of them to little avail. We managed 3 for 4 on the day and finsihed by outrunning a thunderstorm after hearing the Coast Guard marine warning. We started out catching a little brown on a Mashed Mahi nailer set 44 down on a rigger in 60 fow. After trying 50-90 fow without any additional success we went shallower and caught one laker in 57 fow and another in 45 fow both on a white spinnie and seaweed Horse Fly. In 40 fow we had a silver fish on a dodger fly that was a suspected coho, but it self released before we recovered the board. Another slow day, but the water temps are getting warmer.
