Introduction

Think You’ve Seen It All When It Comes To Downrigger Weights?

Ridgeback Rattler Downrigger Weights blend so many features into one presentation that it is hard to appreciate what this one device can add to your trolling spread.

Stimulates the natural SIGHT and SOUND and PREDATORY instincts of ALL toothy fish!!!

Advantages

Realize unequaled stability with a full-length tail fin that will not allow the weight to twist the line or cross.

Run them “down the chute” and watch the fish come from off the graph charging in to find the source of their (sensory) lateral line disturbance.

Cross-drilled “through body” holes provide an unbelievable amount of water disruption; creating vibration, bubbles and a vortex. The sonic signature generated is awesome.

Rattle rings in tail section combined with color beads provide additional sight and sound stimulation adding an alluring motion to an already deadly presentation.

The exclusive yellow zinc-chromate finish in shimmering yellow/green color produces reds, greens and yellows previously only seen in fishing lures; the blue water color display is awesome! Two new colors now available: Silver and Black (see Nickel / Zinc color page)

Certainly one of the most fisherman friendly features is the unique flat bottom that allows the Ridgeback Rattler to sit in the boat and not roll around while changing lures.

Each Ridgeback Rattler is machined from a solid steel bar and the laser cut tail section is fully welded to provide a nearly indestructible assembly. Rattle rings and color beads are hand assembled before being packaged for shipment.

Less weight means faster and easier retrieval from the depths as the design of the Ridgeback allows the weight to tilt downward upon retrieval. Increased life for your arms and electric motors!

The unique top planing surface and nose-down running attitude of your Ridgeback Rattler allows you to run targeted depths with minimal blow back.

Saltwater Users

An important note about your Ridgeback Rattler and saltwater:

Due to the nature of the environment in saltwater fishing, the finish on your Ridgeback Rattler may tarnish. The performance of the Ridgeback Rattler will not be affected by the tarnishing of the finish. Ridgeback Rattler recommends the following steps be followed to help ensure the finish remains vibrant for as long as possible when used in saltwater.

1. After each use in saltwater, rinse in fresh water.
2. Dry it off completely.
3. Store the Ridgeback Rattler in an area with good air circulation.

Note: Ridgeback Rattler is not responsible for any finish discoloration or degradation that may occur from saltwater usage.
